'34 Ford Roadster Body

Started on the Body for the '34 Ford Roadster, now that the Chassis is complete.   Hopefully this will move relatively quick, though I do intend to take the time to do the best job that I can on this.  So, without further ado, here is what I have so far. Special thanks to Anton Nesterov for the copy of his Hot Rod which I used to generate a set of base blueprints.  More to come soon.

13 May 2011 - Latest updates in the body development of the '34 Ford Roadster.  Added the Grill Shroud, Engine Side Panels, Door, and area between the two.    Ran a couple of "Reflection Test" renders to make sure that things are looking correct before proceeding further.

FYI - You can "Click" any image for a Larger view.

17 May 2011 - After a busy weekend I'm finally back with some further updates. Got the remainder of the running boards and rear fenders shaped in. Next up will be the rear skirt and pan to finish out the basic body, then it will be on to the Windsheild and interior.

Including a couple more TEST renders, to check reflections & Chassis fit. Looks like I'm gonna need a couple minor tweaks where the front fender crosses the chassis and probably have to shorten the back end of the chassis.

28 June 2011 -  It's been a while since I've been able to update this project.  Finally took some time last night to get back to work on the interior.  Here are a few early shots of the Dash work.  More to come soon.

Blast from the Past!

Wow!!   I was looking through an old director of mine the other day and came across these pictures.  This was the very first 3D model that I created from scratch...   A total custom hot rod straight from my imagination.   If memory serves me correctly, this was created in 3D Max 5, and was rendered with Brazil, and was done around 6-7 years ago.

Solar Charging Outdoor Rocking Lounge Furniture (14 pics)

Solar Charging Outdoor Rocking Lounge Furniture -
Recharge yourself and your electronics while relaxing with friends outdoors in Killian Court. The MIT SOFT Rockers are smart, clean energy charging stations disguised as outdoor rocking lounge furniture.

Unlike conventional ‘hard’ urban infrastructure, The SOFT Rocker leverages its environment in a dynamic manner by using the human power of balance to create an interactive 1.5 axis 35 watt solar tracking system. Soft power electronics designed for this project charge the 12 ampere-hour battery and store solar energy harvested during the day.
